10 January 2011 Dear all,

One of my clients is having service tax registration in Mumbai and he has started a branch in Tamilnadu.

Now we want to include Tamilnadu as an additional place under the same service tax registration. i want to know the procedure to do so. please help me.

10 January 2011 No U Have to Take Separate Service Tax Registration Number for Each Branch.
I Mean Its Branch No. 002 So Registration is Must

10 January 2011 You may apply for centralised registration in form ST -1.

10 January 2011 I support Mr. Naik and you may apply for centralised registration in form ST -1 instead of each branch separately.

11 January 2011 Thank you everyone...

But what to do with service tax number already registered??
Do I need to cancel or surrender it ??
And then apply for the centralized registration..??

Or anything else...??

Please advise me.

11 January 2011 Please consult nearest Service tax Office or any practitioner. You will get the guidance.There may be online facility also.
