16 September 2015 Read Rule 7C of service tax Rules, 1994
penalty is Rs. 500/- upto 15 days delay, Rs. 1000/- upto 30 days delay.
beyond 30 days- Rs. 1000/- plus 100 per day from the thirty day till filing of return. However, it cannot exceed Rs. 20000/-. Please read Rule 7C before making penalty payment. Thanks.
