09 April 2009 IF I GOT REGISTERED IN SERVICE TAX VOLUNTARILY, THE LIABILITY FOR PAYMENT/CHARGED OF SERVICE TAX WILL START FROM FIRST BILL OR AFTER 10 LAKHS EXEMPTION LIMIT.

09 April 2009 If you have charged service tax and received the payment against the same, then your liability would for depositing the service tax would start from the 5th day of the month immediately following the month from the end of the quarter if you are a proprietorship, partmership firm or an individual. In other cases the liability would start from the 5th day of the month immediately following the month in which the payment was received.

10 April 2009 If you feel that your services will cross 10 Lakhs during the year then you have to start billing from the first bill itself.

Otherwise at the end if it crosses 10Lakhs then you have to pay from the begining.

And as per service tax if your services cross 9 Lakhs you have to get it registered or if your estimated services will cross 10 Lakhs then you have to register.
