Service tax payable or not???

Dear Sir,

Plz help..
we r into cunsultancy firm & we charge serv tax in our in to the curtomers, but if a customer is not paying us the part of service tax we charged, Should we pay the Service tax for the same???

20 April 2009 No, you need not to pay service tax on the same. Please let me know of any concern.

20 April 2009 What ever amount is collected from the customer will be treated as inclusive of service tax(cum tax). You need to calculate the tax payable by back calculation.

20 April 2009 Mr shyam is right, you need to go for back calculation after considering whole amount received as inclusive of service tax.

20 April 2009 Service Tax charged by you whether paid or not by the customer, you have to pay from your pocket
Inclusive view seems to be doubtful as yu have charged the same so that amt will stand your liability
