Is there any provision in service tax law for tax paid under protest & if any,what is the procedure for it ?

THERE IS NO SEPARATE PROCEDURES FOR PAYMENTS MADE UNDER PROTEST.
WHILE MAKING PAYMENTS PL. MAKE IT CLEAR IN THE ENCLODSED LETEER THAT IT IS "PAID UNDER PROTEST".
ON TOP OF THE COVERING LETTER ITSELF PL. MARK"PAID UNDER PROTEST".

There is no provision to pay under protest, It is only when you disagree and intend to reserve your right for the claim one pays under protest
Payment under protest is nothing but a deposit under the provisions of the act. You shall not be entitled to nay interest on such deposits made under protes
