19 December 2015 A person purchase garments on which he pay VAT @ 5% And gives it on rent
So what is applicable on such rental ? Vat or Service Tax????

19 December 2015 it is a service.
Chargeable to service tax.
But you can claim SSP exemption.
And also VAT can not be bboked as credit so it will be booked as expense.
