Service tax on Service Apartments

13 May 2008 hi all, I wanted to just know whether service tax is applicable on renting of service apartments. The apartments are being rented out to companies on daily and monthly basis. Just let me know whether it comes under " service tax on renting of immovable property"

13 May 2008 yes if gross receipt is in excess of rs 10 lakhs during the year 2008-09 then it is liable to service tax
