22 April 2009 Is it correct that service tax on rent of Commercial Property is withdrawn.If it is so kindly provide some G.O or notification.

22 April 2009 Delhi High court has held that levy of service tax on rent of commercial property is unconstitunal.

How ever, the order of ther High Court is an appealable order. The Government can file appeal with the Supreme Court.

22 April 2009 yes the decision of Delhi High court has come out on 18.04.09 but written order is still awaited.

But no changes has been made in Act and department will surely challenge this order in SC.
