LABOUR CHARGES PAID TO GOLDSMITHS FOR CONVERTING OLD GOLDINTO ORNAMENTS - DO WE NEED TO PAY SERVICE TAX ON SUCH EXPENDITURE.

It depnends on the goldsmith whether he is assessed under service tax or not. If he is assessable under Service tax then he has to charge the same in the bill and you have to pay service tax
