Kindly let me know the applicability of Servise tax on Job Charges.

My Company is Fabric manufacturer (TExtile)

27 January 2011 Liability for processing is under business auxilairy service. Exempted vide not. 14/2005 for textile processing.

28 January 2011 If the process carried out you is amounting to Manufacture in terms of excise law then service tax would not be applicable, otherwise, services would be taxable under Business Auxiliary Services
