13 March 2015 is service tax applicable on commission received on sale of dish tv currency.are there any excemption available .please let me know

14 March 2015 If risk and rewards are transferred to you and then to the ultimate consumer it will be characterized as Sale of goods wherein VAT would be applicable. if not then service tax will be applicable. you can avail SSI exemption if your turnover is below Rs 10,00,000

15 March 2015 i am an wholesale dealer purchasing dish tv currency directly from the company and selling the same to the small distributor.For the same i am receiving commission from the company directly and givig a part of commission to my sub dealers.Please advice me.

17 March 2015 Dear Dilip, your transaction is yet not clear. I have one question which will resolve. what will happen if some thing happens to the goods when the goods are in your hand. if the answer is your loss then you are dealing in goods and local VAT is applicable. if not then service tax is applicable @ 12.36% to be changed after notification to effect the budget 2015
