01 October 2012 OUR COMPANY PROVIDE CARGO HANDLING SERVICES FOR DOOR TO DOOR DELIVERY AND WE HAVE TO PAY RAILWAY FREIGHT TO RAILWAY BOARD, RAILWAY NOT TO COLLECT SERVICE TAX. BUT W.I.F. DT. 1-10-12 RAILWAY ALSO COLLECT SERVICE TAX @3.708 ON TOTAL MONEY RECEIPT. SO, NOW WHAT PERSENTAGE OF SERVICE TAX WILL BE COLLECT FROM OUR CUSTOMER.

If your gross receipts exceeds 10 lacs then u have to charge service tax in your bill amount, and have to collect this from customer, and what railway will charge from you, it does not effect whether you have to chrge from your customer or not or how much you have to charge, if you are nor SSI means gross receipts exceedds 10 lac then has to charge 12.36% from your client, and u can claim cenvaton what u will pay to govt on freight.

01 October 2012 THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY. SO, WE HAVE TO COLLECT SERVICE TAX @ 12.36% NOT 3.708% ON GROSS RECEIPT. OUR GROSS RECEIPT IS ABOVE RS. 10 LACS.PLEASE REPLY ME.
