Service tax on amc of software license.

We purchased software license from companies . In addition we entered in to AMC( annual maintenance contract) for the software license . Please indicate the applicability of service tax on AMC part and the applicable percentage.

vendor is demanding on 100% . How to counter his claim. Pls give more details.

Dear Sir, AMC is a pure service. SO service tax can only be charged at 100% of value.

Service tax @ full rate ... and also be prepare.. VAT authorties may demand VAT
