Can a private limited company ( An exporter of service) avail input tax credit (refund) if it gets registered under service tax act?
If yes, please provide the relevant notification/circular details?

Anyone please reply to above query. A Private limited company is providing cloud hosting services to clients in US. Are these sevices taxable under service tax? If yes, then can it claim refund of service tax if it gets registered under service tax act?

You may be cover under 'on-line information and database access or retrieval or both in electronic form through computer network, in any manner' or Information technology services' Kindly narrate your activity in detail. Yes, if are covered under export of services, you are entitled for refund of service tax paid under Rule 6(5) of the Cenvat credit Rules, 2004.

Any person including a company, whether private, partnership firm or Govt can avail Cenvat Credit of goods/services used in providing or rendering the output service and avail the same towards payment of Service Ta involved on the out put service in terms of Cenvat Credit Rules.
