24 November 2008 I want to know the list of service tax exempted states viz. jammu & kashmir etc. along with notification details if any.

24 November 2008 no.only in jammu & kashmir there is no service tax rest of the states are liable to service tax

24 November 2008 Service tax is Destination based consumption tax there for if any service is provided from any where in India but consumed in Jammu and Kashmir there will be no service tax. However if any service is provided form Jammu and Kashmir Service tax will be applicable. there fore till date only J & K is exempted from Service tax
