Hello
I have query regarding the service tax. I am working with CHA company. I am confused in service tax applicable on air freight. Please confirm air freight service is taxable or not. In both condition import or export.
I will be glad if anyone could help me.

Service tax is not applicable on air freight .
For export - Rule 10 of POPS,2012 will be applicable and hence no service tax will be applicable.
For import - The service gets covered in negative list. Also for air freight to be taxable, the service provider needs to be an aircraft operator.
