May i want to know what is the service tax rate and vat rate for ANNUAL MAINTANCE WORK (AMC)FOR UPS WORK IN MAHARASHTRA

Service tax rate is always 12.36% irrespective of nature of Services.Only the abatement are different from service to service.
Again,in case of AMC, the service tax liability depend upon the status of the service provider.
If, the service provider is a Company, the liability to pay service tax is on the service provider.Other wise, the receipient is required to pay service tax as under :
Bill Value * 12.36% *70%*50%
The rate of VAT is different from State to State.
Again,in case of AMC, the service tax liability depend upon the status of the service provider.
