Main Contractor has given the sub-contract for the work in SEZ. Now the sub-contractor asked for the service tax from the main contractor. whether sub-contractor is exempted from service tax..???

Yes, if his turnover exceeds the limits,
please check service tax exemption for work performed in SEZ
