15 June 2009 Can we pass entry like this at the time of booking the revenue:

Party a/c. Dr.
To Income a/c.
To Service tax payable a/c.

Instead of giving credit to service tax liability a/c. and then reversing it at the time of collection

Plz reply soon its urgent
