04 October 2014 How I register myself online to service Tax,What Kind of documents required for the same,fee, validity of the registration, how & where pay the service tax,in which type of business service tax required,who is liable to register under service tax & is there limit turn over to pay service tax,is it required for Tours & Travel Agency,is there any relaxation for North East & Assam state.

04 October 2014 Answers to your questions:

1.) Service tax registration is mandatory when turnover of taxable services exceeds Rs.9 lacs during the financial year.

2.) Service tax is payable when turnover of taxable services exceeds Rs.10 in the financial year.

3.) Below documents required for service tax registration:

1. Print out of ST-1 duly signed by director / partner / authorised person
2. Details of the directors / partners / proprietor / authorized signatory

a. Name and address of the directors / partners / proprietor
b. Name and address of authorized signatory
c. Copy of PAN card of a and b above
d. identity proof (to verify the address) of a and b above, any one of the following

1. Passport
2. Voter identity card
3. Driving licnese
4. Bank passbook showing name and address, along with photograph

3. Copy of PAN Card of the assessee
4. Details of at least one major bank accounts of the applicant (attach photocopy of blank cheque)

a) Name of the bank and address
b) Account number
5. Memorandum of Association / Partnership deed
6. Notarized affidavit certifying of keeping centralized accounting or billing
7. Undertaking in Annexure III for centralized registration and annexure V for single registration

4.) There is no fees payable on the registration.

5.) Yes Service tax is applicable to Tours & Travles Agency.

6.) I have no idea about the relaxation from service tax to the North East and Assam state.
