07 April 2009 Pune branch is claiming refund of service tax while bangalore branch is paying service tax. both the branches has separate registration.

can the service tax refund of one branch be set off against the service tax liability of other?

Is there any notification or circular or any provision in the service tax for the same?

07 April 2009 As you said both the branches have separate reg. then you have to claim only the amount which pertain to the particular branch can claim as refund.
Further, you can not set off against the service tax liability of other once it is reg separetly
