Previously it was on receipt basis, however now it is on the basis of Invoice raised for all assessee.

19 October 2012 Sir, i want to know one more thing regarding service tax on air ticketing. There is any abatement on service tax on Air Travel Agency (Domestic / International Ticketing)???? Because rate of Air Ticket on domestic ticketing 0.618 % & On International Ticketing 1.236%.

24 October 2012 The basis is date of invoice or receipt of payment / advance whichever is earlier.... The date of completion of service shall replace date of invoice above , in case invoice is not issued within 3o days (45 days for NBFC / FI ).....
