12 July 2012 sir i hv one more query pls solve it am will be very thankful 2 u .this question under the head income from other sourse in one qustion interst on fixed deposit is given after deduct tds Rs.10776 (10776*100/89.7}=12013 i dont understand how 89.7 is come like tht lottery income is given after tds 27760*100/69.1=40174 and i dont understnd hw 69.1 is came pls solve it

13 July 2012 but sir tds rate for lottery is 30% and tds rate is different for every income which is come under other sourses.sir where frm can i get tds rate chart.sir pls help me. coz tds rate is not given in qustion

1. Service Tax 10%
2. Education Cess @2% on Service Tax
3. Higher & Secondary Ed. Cess @1% on Service Tax.

13 July 2012 sir in case of resident no cess is charged at sources.then y we take 10.30 instead of 10 tht is given tds chart for interest on fixed deposit in income from other sourses for gross up amount means 89.7 and incase of lottery 69.1 and y u talking about service tax these r not services these r income from other sources. i read d link tht is u sent bt am unable 2 undrstnd hw 89.7 and 69.1 for gross up
