Service on rental income

I am a propritor of a firm i am register in service tax .

but my house rented for resident purpos my rented income 15000.00 pm i am lible to pay service tax on this income .

25 August 2012 Dear Ramesh Singh if the agregate value of service in previous year is not in excess of Rs. 10 lac there is no need to pay service tax. this limit of ten lac is for all services together in this case you told that ur rental icome is 15000 pm and it is comming 180000 pa so it is with in limit but remember if the gross value of other servises together with this exceeds 10 lac u may need to pay service tax.
