27 February 2010 Kindly clarify about the thresh hold limit for service tax to be applicable on rental income from commercial property and also from which date it shall be applicable and what treatment to be given to dues if any.

27 February 2010 thresh hold limit for service tax to be applicable on rental income from commercial property is still 10 lakhs and the date of applicability is w. e. f. 01.06.2007.

When receive Rs.9 lakhs as rental income u need to take registration with the Central excise and servise tax department.
