04 December 2012 due to the ammendment in service tax the due date of service tax for the period July-12 to Sep-12 has not been announced kindly help me out when we need to file the return as there is no clarity from service tax department

04 December 2012 The department will announce the date. Do not worry about the return. Negative list is a new concept and accordingly a new return form has to be developed due to which the return cannot be filed now.

04 December 2012 Even the service tax department is not sure how to deal with negative list and hence the return due date has been extended till further notice.

Even in case registration is applied in other than negative list you have to amend the registration and select the appropriate service for statistical purposes which leads to misery on the client and the consultant.
