is it advisable or necessary to give referance of sections or clause details in exam?.... or clear defination is enough.

Quoting the sections is not mandatory. Giving a clear definition would be enough.
Quote the sections only where you are sure is correct, else quoting a wrong section will create a negative section.
However, you should quote those sections which should be commonly known to a CA Final Student, since you are supposed to possess expert knowledge!!!
