I recieved a letter from Income Tax Department from CPC Bangalore to day means 26-04-2012 but date printed on letter is 16-03-2012
Subject of letter is as:
Communication on Arrear Demand.
Statment of Arrear Demand
AY SECTION DEMANT AMOUNT TILL DATE
2008-09 143(1) 8,267 02-04-2009
You are requested that kindly suggest me solution of this problum

It is possible that the Tax Paid had not been credited to your account. Please refer Form 26AS on income tax web site and match it with the Tax Paid/ TDS of AY 2008-09.

Please also check whether you had made proper claims of deduction and shown income properly in the return.

Check your assessment for the assessment year 2008-09 and find out if any credit for the same has not been given for taxes paid by you by way of advance tax, TDS or any other mode. If it is not given then you have to file rectification petition.

Section 245notice is an intimation of adjustment of refund against prior open demand.
As of that date the demand for AY2008-09 is open, please check your records and if you have paid the saem get it rectified. If not paid then your refund for current year will be adjsuted towards that demand.
