Can any one give me brief idea about the section 187?

When the shareholder should conduct the director meeeting for this, if shares has have with the co.?

25 November 2010 Section 187 of the Companies Act, 1956 allows a Body Corporate to mark its presence at the General Meetings of a Company of which it is a member by nomination a person its Authorised Representative.

I will elaborate this with the help of an example.....

Say A Ltd. is a member of ABC Ltd. The AGM of ABC Ltd. is scheduled to be held on 30.06.2010. Now, a Company being an artifical person cant be present at the AGM of the Company. Hence, Section 187 ofthe Companies Act, allows it appoint a person by a Board Resolution as its Authorised Representative to remain present at the AGM of ABC Ltd. and it shall be deemed presence of A Ltd. The person so appointed shall have all the rights and powers as available to other members of ABC Ltd.
