One of my Client received Notice U/s 142(1) for assessment year 2010-11 and also ask for produce documents as he deposited almost 10 lakh rupeees in his bank account..
But in reality he expired in 2009..as he is Govt employee so his wife gots 27lakh as gratuity..
What is remedy for this..?

His wife is legal hair of his husband after his death. She can reply on his behalf .
