26 September 2008 Secondary and Higher Education Cess @ 1% has been levied w.e.f. 11.05.2007 in the case of all services which are taxable services.

Secondary and Higher Education Cess payable (SAH E.Cess) on excise duty becomes applicable from 1.3.2007

Secondary & Higher Education Cess has been imposed in Income tax, effective from 01.03.2007.
