01 January 2015 whether a director who submits his resignation latter. can he withdraw his resignation letter before it becomes effective.

02 January 2015 Normally director has a right to withdraw his resignation before its acceptance.

However, if resigning director has file form DIR-11 with concerned registrar of companies there would be no scope for withdrwal of resignation.

However it is debatable what would be the consequences where the director is yet to communicate his notice of resignation to the Registrar and the company persuades him to withdraw his notice of resignation and he does so.
