29 December 2011 I am Payroll Exec. Kindly help me, what proofs needs to be submit for Tax exemption for loan taken on Higher education. How it works for Tax Calculation.

29 December 2011 Proof of loan repayment needs to be submitted. Loan statement from bank will serve as proof of repayment.

The deduction is available only in respect of INTEREST ON LOAN. Repayment of principal amount is not eligible for deduction.
