as per sec 264(1) evry persn proposd as director (regular/additional/alternate/person filling casual vacancy) is reqird to file his consent with the company.
whthr additional/alternate director or director filling casual vacancy is requird to file his consent with ROC u/s 264(2) whn he is so appointed ??

YES.
A person appointed as a director shall on or before the appointment give his consent to hold the office of director in physical form DIR-2 i.e. Consent to act as a director of a company. Company shall file Form DIR-12 (particulars of appointment of directors and KMP along with the form DIR-2 as an attachment within 30 days of the appointment of a director, necessary fee.(Section 152 of the Companies Act, 2013)

Agree with the opinion of expert. Now form DIR.2 is mandatory to be filed as consent to act as director.
