A HUF was selected for scrutiny assessment. AO is now asking for details of individual income details of the Karta of the HUF.
Does he have the power to do so? or is he prohibited?

He is not prohibited in asking such details. More over while assessing HUF the individual income earned by karta is also a relevant detail.
