can i attend an Assessing Officer for my client u/s 142? I am still in final year of chartered accountant course ?

If you mean 143(2), the answer is No.

Only the assessee or an authorised representative can attend any hearing with the ITO.
You need to submit a valid power of attorney with the ITO in your name.
Generally, ITOs don't entertain article trainees but if power of attorney is submitted then you can attend the ITO.

you can also appear as A/R if you are an ITP.
