22 June 2010 with regard to the services taken in connection with photostat (machine installed by photocopy service provider in the business premises), can service tax paid for the above be utilised for service tax credit, if the business is that of car repairing & servicing????

Scope of input service is very wide and you can avail cenvat credit of service tax paid on photocopy expnese

You can refer ecent judgment in case of Coca Cola India Pvt Ltd Vs Commissioner of Central Excise, Pune- Bombay High Court.
