29 May 2014 Suppliers are sending invoice in which freight is added to the basic amount and then sales tax is calculated. is it correct.

29 May 2014 its usually incorrect.... its increasing your cost .. say to to charge vat and then add only freight amount in invoice

29 May 2014 This has always been a long standing issue with regard to charging VAT on freight, there are supreme court judgment which say that VAT should be charged hence I feel the person charging VAT is taking a conservative view and is correct.
