23 January 2010 In case of a private limited company, the directors are foreigners. Their visa has not been converted into employment visa yet. How can they be paid salary?

23 January 2010 They can even serve the companyby sitting abroad. and Company can pay them salaries.

There is no rule that a director has to sit in India in Companies Office.

24 January 2010 then convert their visa in business Visa. Company can pay them but as per Visa rules they can get problems after that.
For alternate option:
you can pay them as consultancy charges direct to their foreign account. for this you have to take CA certificate in 15CB in an online form 15CA to be filled.
You can use above mentioned method to pay salary also.
on payment there is no problem with comapny in law but directors will get problem as they are not authorised to work in India but they are working and getting salary. So they will be personally liable.
