06 June 2017 how much salary can be paid in cash per month....

if we have a 13 employees and salary per month 16000 or above ...can paid 250000 per month in cash of salary

06 June 2017 With recent amendment in section 40A(3), cash payment for an expenditure per day exceeding Rs 10000/- will be disallowed if assessee filed audited return and claims expenditure in P&L a/c. So salary cash payment should not exceed Rs 10000/- per day so if salary is Rs 16000/- per month you can only pay by cheque.
