if a person is getting a joining bonus of 40 lacs (as the employer cant pay back dated salary ) can it be considered.
and get salaryonly for 3 months as 18 lacs. total 58 lacs for fy 16-17

No its not the way of accounting and also contradict with the accounting standards. The reason behind is that u must have to deduct monthly TDS on salary for that amount (monthly) and also u can't pay joining bonus which is approx 70% of the CTC(total salary being 58L).
