13 February 2015 I want to calculate HRA Exemption for Govt. Employee.

My queries are as:-

1. Grade pay is a part of basic salary or not ?

2. Can an Railway employee cliam exemption of transport allowance of Rs.9600/- p.a.

3. Can an Railway employee cliam exemption of medicle reimbursement Rs.15000/- p.a.

Please guide me it will be of great help.

13 February 2015 1.Grade pay is not part of Basic Pay.
2. Transport allowance of Rs 9600 and medical reimbursement of Rs 15000 can be claimed by railway employee.
