my client is in trading business in Ahmedabad. He is also exporting goods to dubai. he filling regular monthly VAT Returns. There is a mistake in May 2013 Return. It has come to his notice now i.e in August 2013. So can he revise that return? if yes, will he liable to any kind of penalty? What will be the amount of penalty.

The return can be revised online the time limit is there uptill 29-Aug-2013 as per the rule.
