14 January 2015 I have filed ITR for Assessment year 2014_15 on time and recieved 143 (1) and refund also I find some variation in my return as some of my arrears were paid without deducting TDS.As for as I know 143 (1) is only a intemation not assessment. Can I still revise the return. Kindly guide me

14 January 2015 Yes your observation is correct you can file the revised return u/s 139 (5).

14 January 2015 you can file the revised return if you found some error exist.

14 January 2015 Thanks, As for as I know the ITR can be revised if assessment order is not received (e.g A 2014_-15 before March 31 2016 ) I am filing e return for last five years and I have not received any assessment order of any year. If I revise return for A Y 2014-15 if it is successfully uploaded means my filing is correct.By revising I want to be sure I am not inviting any new problem.Thanks

15 January 2015 Section 139(5) reads "If any person, having furnished a return under sub-section (1), or in pursuance of a notice issued under sub-section (1) of section 142, discovers any omission or any wrong statement therein, he may furnish a revised return at any time before the expiry of one year from the end of the relevant assessment year or before the completion of the assessment, whichever is earlier".

Intimation is not assessment so you can go ahead and file revised return u/s 139(5) without any issue.
