14 October 2009 can a revised return be filed online (e-filing) when the original return was a paper return.
please help

14 October 2009 i think you can file the revised return online and there is no restriction even if u have filed the original manualy.

15 October 2009 I dont think so you can file , cos the efiling acknowledgement number of 139(1) is to be given if a return is revised u/s 139(5) .It doesnt validate , i think , gives some absurd error .

Although there is no restriction placed as per law , there is a technical difficulty in doing the same.
