30 May 2013 Dear Sir,

I am working at Private co. who is liable to pay service tax on GTA under reverse charge system.

service tax is included in the transporter bill so we have paid it to transporter. but our liability is to pay to Govt. A/c.

so what can i do for it. bcos we are paying to transporter since last 2-3 years.

is payment of service tax to transporter reduce our liability to pay service tax???

Please help me what should i do?????

30 May 2013 Dear Sir,

I don't think it will be viable but what I can suggest you is, if your transporter is fixed then ask him for the credit note and adjust them against the future liability.

And, for the payment outstanding for last 2-3 years of your, you can apply for amnesty scheme if no notice or inquiry has been initiated upon you.
