Revalidation of final course

final course registration period of 5 years completed on 5th August 2016, I have send revalidation form to the institute but I have not received revalidation letter from institute
I want to file exam form
please guide me whether I wait for revalidation letter or should I file exam form
I also get exemption in one paper in may 2016 whether this exemption will carry forward or not
