I am giving a broad shape to question

Infact i want to know that which income tax return form to be used to file the return for Educational Societies which are not registered u/s 80G of Income Tax

I would like to clarify that above society is not registered anywhere except Society Registration Act but is taking and consuming the Govt. grant for Social & education welfare

Please update me as soon as possible..........

30 August 2009 The form to be used is based on the type of formation of education society.

1) If your education society is formed as Association Of Person (AOP), then the form to be used is ITR-5.

2) If your education society is formed as Trust, then the form to be used is ITR-7.

31 August 2009 In case if it is registered u/s.12AA or u/s.10(23), Form:ITR-7 will be used.
If it is registered as AOP (in case if it is established by 2 or more persons) and accordingly Form:ITR-5 will be used.
Otherwise if it is established by only one person then the Form:ITR-4 may be used.
