Return filed with CPC

16 May 2011 I have filed my return with CPC, Banglore. However, I was denied the credit for Loss on Income from House Property & demand was determined. I filed the rectification return (e- filing) but the same was rejected. I have not received the revised order and the system is not allowing me to file for another rectification with the same communication number

Shall be grateful if anyone can guide what should be done in this case

16 May 2011 Since the rectification sought for is rejected, an appeal can be filed before the jurisdictional CIT (Appeals) under section 246A of the Income tax Act,1961.

23 May 2011 Dear Prakash,

You can file another online rectification on the rejected notice that will be communicated to you by CPC.

Not sure if you filled the address of house property and other mandatory details while claiming loss from house property. You should also claim the loss in other schedules like CYLA and Part BTI in the respective place where the data is called for.

Your rectification could have been rejected if you are trying to change your Gross total income.
