As per the decision given by Tribunal, no action can be taken against the ICAI under RTI Act. You can just give your papers for re-verification of Marks. Revaluation of papers is also not allowed.

This is an interesting question! Hereโs what I can clarify:
ICAI and RTI Act: ICAI is a statutory body but certain decisions related to exam paper checking, evaluation process, or results are generally considered internal and confidential. Hence, ICAI has been mostly exempt from RTI requests related to exam answer sheets and marking details.
Right to Information (RTI) on Exam Papers: You cannot get your exam paper copies just by filing an RTI. The ICAI does not provide copies of answer sheets under RTI or otherwise. However, you can apply for re-verification of marks (i.e., re-totaling) within the stipulated time. Revaluation or rechecking of content is not allowed.
RTI in Courts: Some candidates have tried to use RTI and have approached courts (like High Courts) seeking their exam papers or details about evaluation methods. A court might entertain the petition, but such cases are rare and not guaranteed. Also, sometimes courts may issue interim orders which can restrict candidates from appearing in exams until the matter is resolved.
Effect on Exam Attempts: If you file a case or RTI petition in court, depending on the interim relief granted by the court, your exam attempts might be restricted temporarily.
